Girl Scouts

Hunters Run Stables provides programs to complete both the Horse Fan or Horse Rider Junior Girl Scout badges.
We have provided this accreditation for many years.

• Horse Rider Badge - Scouts will learn about riding equipment and how to care for it. Scouts will also learn the importance of properly fitting riding equipment and handling of a horse, general horse anatomy, how to mount and dismount properly, walk and trot a horse.
• Horse Fan Badge - Scouts will learn about the riding equipment and how to care for it. Scouts will also learn the importance of properly fitting riding equipment. Scouts will also learn how to provide daily care for horses (feeding, grooming, treats, etc.)
• Horse Sense Badge - Scouts learn about horse breeds, tack cleaning, rules of riding, caring for equipment, daily care and more.

• Horse 4 Kids (http://www.horse4kids.com) - provides link points to find information for shopping and finding horse related information.
• Pony Box (http://www.ponybox.com) - free game to play
• eHow Horses (http://www.ehow.com/list_1097.html) - how to do just about everything related to horses.
• Hunt Seat Information (http://www.answers.com/topic/hunt-seat) - this provides information about hunt seat equitation.

Please contact us to secure a date for your Girl Scouts. Once the date is secured, you can print out the Application Form and return with deposit to address provided on form. We have also provided our Release Form for parents to sign before your troop comes to the stables.
